Receptionists provide an important link for patients within the practice and are your initial point of contact. They can provide basic information on services, results and direct you to the right person depending on your needs. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments available to them. They can also assist with some prescription enquiries, but please be aware that this does not remove the input of the GP's who actually hold responsibility for the issuing and signing of prescriptions.
